doweshowbellyad=0; CONFIDENCE & STYLE: Payal Verma (TOI Photo)Girls went crazy over the Ms DT contest. Not only did they prepare well for it -- they also walked in dolled up in pretty fancy outfits. THIS WAS MORE LIKE MISS WORLD: The girls at Kalindi college took the Ms DT title very seriously. They had all done their homework before they came for the DT on campus activity in their college.
Dressed well, they also gave perfect answers. Emcee Kanishk kept saying, “Yeh miss world contest nahi hai,” but nothing could stop the girls from participating with full dedication and gusto. Mansi asked, “Please tell me what has to be done exactly. I don’t want to go wrong because I have been practicing for a long time.” Some spirit, this!
ANSWERS WITH A TWIST: Many girls had registered, hence Kanishk called ten girls at a time. Sakshi came on stage and gave an ambitious speech, “I don’t want to win the title of Ms DT because of the glamour that is attached with it. I am a firm believer of Gandhiji’s principles. He asserted that it is right to chase your dreams and I’m doing just that.” The audience didn’t like her Gandhigiri though and booed her out. Pooja said, “Hey, everyone! I’m naughty, funky and a partyholic. If you guys like to party, vote for me.” However, the audience thought that she overdid it and dismissed her. ALL SPIFFED UP: Girls who were shortlisted walked down the ramp with aplomb. Spaghetti tops, short skirts and dresses ruled the roost here. LET’S DANCE: Satyadipanshi had prepared a special number on Morni Bagha ma. Payal’s performance on Crazy kiya re was appreciated too. Mansi chose to act and did it well. She got a candle, put on a white gown and behaved like Lady Macbeth. Everyone loved her acting and cheered for her loudly – sending her to the finals. Malvika and Zuboni were declared the runners-up and Payal Varma was crowned Ms DT.
